Employee Packing House Productivity
Use Case
Fillmore Piru Citrus Association (FPCA) wanted to improve production in their citrus and avocado packing facility. FPCA considered expanding the size of its building but was not able to increase the size of the buildings.
FPCA turned to InData.farm to find a way to increase employee packing productivity in the packing house. InData.farm deployed the IoT Employee Packing House Productivity Sensor to document FPCA’s baseline employee packing house productivity metric of boxes packed per minute.
In only 60 days, FPCA was able to increase employee packing productivity by 30%, while decreasing labor expenses by 20%. Just by being able to monitor each employee’s packing house productivity allowed FPCA to immediately manage their labor pool.
